Our sustainability

On request, our guests can choose not to have their rooms cleaned daily, thus saving energy, water and cleaning agents.

Another measure to save water and detergent, as well as transportation and packaging, is that we ask our guests to bring their bathrobe and slippers from home. Otherwise a small fee will be charged, an emissions tax so to speak.

We source our meat almost exclusively from the region: beef and pork from Churwalden and Lenzerheide, organic chicken from Malans, salmon from Lostallo and our trout come from the Albula Valley. Pasta from Gran Alpin and eggs from Kuhrerhof. Tea, dried flowers and herbs from Poschiavo. Cheese and butter from the Parpan alpine dairy and Lenzerheidner milk from the Puracenter. We source honey from Heinzenberg, in the heart of Graubünden, and dried meat from Naturtrocknerei Bischi here in Churwalden.
And whatever we can’t find in the region, we look for in Switzerland so that we can cook for you as locally as possible.

Water from next door: we obtain our mineral water from the Graubünden-based company Allegra Passugger Mineralquellen AG.
Green cleaning: all areas of the hotel are now cleaned with environmentally friendly micro dry steam devices.
The revolutionary advantage: no water pollution from cleaning agents or the use of chemicals. The consumption of water and cleaning agents is reduced enormously and the thermal disinfection inactivates germs and viruses. Where necessary, we use ecological cleaning agents for a perfectly clean result. Positive for our employees – the physical effort is significantly less.
